Guidelines for Story Submissions:

  • Make it specific. It’s much better to write about a specific time or experience with specific details than to generalize. So, we’d prefer something like, “I love Jack because when I had a stroke, he showed up at my home every single morning with homemade tortilla soup and sang the national anthem to get me out of bed so I’d go to physical therapy.” Over something generic, like, “I love Jack because he took care of me when I had a stroke. He’s such a great guy.” Specific is always better.
  • Make it positive. Sure, a loving jab is okay, but these stories are meant to honor those who have inspired you or helped you. Submissions with excessive criticism or negativity will not be considered.
  • Make it short. You don’t need to tell your brother’s whole life story. Maybe he’s the best guy in the world and is constantly helping you, so it’s hard to narrow it down. But, try to pick out one event or simple kindness that represents the kind of person your brother is.
I don’t have someone in mind right now, but I’d like to learn more about Legacy Arts >>
